"Olafur Eliasson - Baroque Baroque at Winter Palace" shows key works from the Thyssen-Bornemsiza Art Contemporary Collection and The Juan & Patricia Vergez Collection as well as newly commissioned works at the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene. Eliasson uses approaches from science, psychology and architecture in order to make the relation between reality, reception and representation visible and perceptible through movement, projection, shadows and mirroring, questioning our reception habits.
"Olafur Eliasson - Baroque Baroque" im Winterpalais zeigt Schlüsselwerke aus der Thyssen-Bornemsiza Art Contemporary Collection und der Juan & Patricia Vergez Collection sowie neu kommissionierte Arbeiten. Mit Hilfe der Verfahrensweisen von Wissenschaft, Psychologie und Architektur macht Eliasson Bewegung, Projektion, Schatten und Spiegelung das Verhältnis zwischen Realität, Wahrnehmung und Repräsentation eindringlich sicht- und erlebbar und stellt dabei Sehgewohnheiten infrage.
